How to Compare Tire Lettering Kit Contents

Compare a lettering kit by what it supplies for your particular layout. Two products described as a set may cover different numbers of arcs, include different accessories or require separate materials. Create an itemized comparison before deciding which price represents the more complete purchase.

Normalize the artwork quantity first

Write down the number of outward-facing sidewalls you want to decorate and the artwork on each. Count upper and lower arcs separately when applicable. Then translate each listing into that same unit. A count of individual letters cannot be compared directly with a count of complete wordmarks.

For an illustrative four-sidewall design with two arcs on each sidewall, the requirement is eight arcs. That does not establish how many kits you must buy until the listing explains how many matching arcs each kit contains.

Separate artwork from application materials

Check whether the dimensions are comparable

A kit with more pieces is not necessarily equivalent if the pieces use different wording or dimensions. Match the required letter height, full graphic size and configuration before comparing totals. Include any design work or production proof needed for custom artwork.

Calculate the complete requirement

Once quantities and contents are known, list the separately required items and their current quoted costs. Keep shipping, applicable taxes and any optional spares visible as separate entries. This produces a project comparison rather than a comparison of headline kit prices.

When reviewing a custom lettering set, ask for confirmation against your exact piece list. Save the response with the proof so that the same specification can be used to check the delivery.
